Colt McLauchlin was raised on a farm outside of Petrolia Ontario. Country music has been the soundtrack to his life for as long as he can remember. Some of his earliest memories are riding up and down the fields in a tractor beside his Dad, listening to Jimmy Dickens and his hero, Alan Jackson. He soon was singing along to the radio, strumming his first guitar and dreaming big dreams.
Next came guitar lessons, country music concerts, and when he was 15 years-old, the invitation to sit in with his uncle, Dave Braswell, a forty-year + music veteran who had recorded and toured much of the U.S and Canada.
He was hooked…then he was booked! Next came a five-piece band, weekend dances and more country festivals – this time as a performer, gaining fans and friends with every show!
Each chance he was given he would find his way to the stage. This fearlessness gave him the opportunity to sing at some notable Nashville venues, such as Margaritaville, Rippy’s, Legends, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and then his hero, Alan Jackson’s Bar which only fuelled his determination to pursue country music.
Colt was connected with multiple award winning song-writer and music producer Thomas Wade which led to a song-writing collaboration with Thomas and recording sessions for Colt’s first three releases SPINNIN’ (2024), REDNECK MONEY (2023) and DRINKIN’ BOOTS (2023)
Most recently, Colt released his 4th Single RESCUE ME, produced by Brad Hill April 25th, 2025 gaining Support from Apple and Spotify Editorial Playlists gaining him over 140K Streams in the first week!
Between 2024 and 2025 Colt has opened for Josh Ross, George Birge, Madeline Merlo, Nate Haller and Bryan Martin! Colt also performed in the 2024 James Cameron Emerging Artist Showdown at Lucknow’s MUSIC IN THE FIELDS, opening up for David Wilcox and Cadillac Three! In March 2024 he also debut/sang his second release REDNECK MONEY on the World Famous Tootsies Main Stage and at Whiskey River Saloon in Nashville Tn!
In 2023 he opened up for Owen Riegling, at Dresdens Rock the Lot and Shane Profitt at Port Hurons Q-Country 107 Spring Anniversary Concert!

Colt is a farmer and mechanic with a passion for Country Music. He still listens to Alan Jackson, believes in the lessons he learned early on…work hard, try hard, believe in your dreams and they just might come true.
